The AVID conveys careless joy in flying and is ideal for all the route flyers who want to focus on their route completely during the flight and want to arrive at their destination.
The AVID was created for route pilots, who are the most important thing for whom the joy of flying. The combination of finely tailored handling, efficient climbing and sliding behavior and large security reserves makes the AVID a long-lasting partner for XC adventure of all kinds:
The combination of stability and handling of the AVID ensures outstanding climbing properties. The umbrella conveys sufficient information to get the best out of the thermal, and the brakes provide precision. Regardless of whether you turn tight or rather flat, the Avid always remains well balanced. The feedback of the brakes is direct, and the nick and roll stability enables you to climb maximized climbing that is really fun!
The sliding behavior of the AVID is one of the best in its class and can keep up with umbrella of higher categories in many cases. Equalized Pressure Technology (EPT) of the third generation ensures that the internal pressure in the wing remains as constant as possible, which means that the shape of the wing is preserved and aerodynamic efficiency is improved. The profile and extension of the Avid are derived from Explorer 2; an umbrella that has proven itself in his class.
Our special cloth is used on the AVID, which was developed by gin and our technical partner Myungjin. The myungjin fabric MJ40MF and MJ32MF is designed for harder and rougher environments. After a long development process, this fabric was first used in our tandem umbrella and was able to demonstrate its excellent properties.
The Avid has a congenital nicknatability. He bites enthusiastically into rising air masses, but always remains stable above you. Rattles are a rare matter in real conditions and even if they occur, the umbrella recovers stress -free of it. And even on windier, perhaps also thermal starting places, the umbrella tends to always remain above the pilot.
The AVID is equipped with a new smart riser, including ergonomic handles for the C-Tagurt control and rabbits deflection roller for particularly smooth handling. Clise into the half gas, grab the C control and enjoy the view!
Despite the somewhat heavier cloth, the Avid is still comparatively light due to its construction. A well thought-out mixture of plastic sticks and nitinol (Nickel-Titan) offers a higher dimension stability and ensures a compact package.

Designer and CEO GIN SEOK Song about the development of the AVID:
“The AVID is heavily based on our gin Lab wind tunnel research, which we carry out in cooperation with a local university in Korea. This is an important project that has already been able to provide some findings that flow into the series production of umbrellas. Among other things, this work has contributed to optimizing the sailing voltage, which brings improved climbing and finer handling for the pilot.
The handling of the AVID remains well balanced and efficient in a wide range of attachment angles and surface loads. The umbrella conveys a feeling of stability and control, but still provides good information about what happens in the air. In our opinion, this is one of the main advantages of the umbrella and makes life easier for every pilot. We also use a smart riser with a C control system and there is additional deflection roller for particularly smooth use. For the sticks, we use a combination of a new plastic and nitinol wire. The chopsticks are used in the critical area of the entrance edge due to their high breaking strength, form stability and minimal wear effect. Nitinol on the upper sail supports the rear edge perfectly and precisely and at the same time reduces weight and packing volume.
For some time now we have also been working with myungjin to develop robust towels with exactly the properties we need. With tandem umbrellas like our Fuse, we found that the cloth values are excellent even after years of hard tandem flights around the world.
The AVID is our answer to the desire of those pilots who want to experience our most powerful screen in the EN B category, but the top priority of which is not the light equipment. ”
