In the Explorer 2, a whole series of innovations and optimizations flowed - now it is better than ever and still retains its popular properties:
Perhaps the most remarkable property of Explorer 2 is the way the refined handling can be converted confidently into riser. The umbrella bites into the thermal, but always feels balanced. The brake pressure is light but progressive and transmits exactly the information that makes you crankfully cranked you.
Due to a low adjustment of the area and various aerodynamic modifications, the gliding performance of the Explorer 2 exceeds all expectations that the previous model had placed.
The Explorer 2 is characterized by congenital nickt stability. Even on windy starting places, the screen can rise progressively, only to then wait for the zenith. Especially in the case of uncomfortable conditions, he shows his exemplary characteristics.
The Explorer 2 is equipped with a new smart riser, including ergonomic handles for the C-application control and rabbits in deflection for particularly smooth handling. Clise into the half gas, grab the C control and enjoy the view! Also new to the Explorer 2: The speed system has 2 cm more accelerated and thus ensures higher top speed.
Rods made of nitinol (a form memory alloy made of nickel and titanium) on the upper sail allows the umbrella to pack compact, help a smooth sail surface and keep the weight pleasantly low.

Designer and CEO Gin Seok Song explains the development behind the Explorer 2:
“To reinvent the Explorer, was anything but an easy task! Instead of increasing the performance over the extension*,* we took a completely different way and played with its area. While many umbrellas are getting smaller and smaller, often completely so, larger areas also have their advantages. An increased Reynolds number not only ensures better performance, but also makes the screen more stable.
The key to success was to increase the area without losses in the event of joy and speed. But to achieve this, we spent a lot of time researching in the wind tunnel, which we were able to do together with a Korean university. This is a project that already delivered very interesting insights that flowed straight into the development of umbrellas; V.A. sailing voltages could be optimized, which brings with it for pilots improved climbing properties and refined handling.
In addition, we install a new smart riser with C-Tagurt control. There is a handle for simple handling and a deflection for particularly smooth handling. 2 cm more accelerator path ensures increased top speed and the accelerated flight is really fun.
The reinforcements were created from a combination of new -like plastic sticks and nitinol wires. Thanks to their resilience in critical areas of the nose, the atlass sticks are used. Nitinol is used at the upper sail towards the back edge, ensures precision and reduces weight as well as packing volume. All in all, the Explorer was always a favorite for a variety of pilots. We are in good spirits that the Explorer 2 gets more than fair - with even more plus points, suitable for even more pilots. ”
