Delay-free variometer

Normal variometers have the disadvantage that climb and descent are always displayed with a slight time delay. With the Mini 5 GPS, the data from various sensors is combined using a complicated mathematical process and the time delay is eliminated. Thanks to the delay-free display of climb/descent, finding and centering thermals is much easier than with a conventional variometer.

GPS logger

The XC Tracer Mini 5 records IGC and KML files simultaneously, the IGC files are recognized by the FAI for paragliding competitions. And you can view the KML files directly on Google Earth.

Outstanding autonomy

Don't be surprised if you never have to recharge the vario during an entire season! The vario has a built-in high-efficiency solar cell and a fully charged lithium-polymer battery that lasts for about 30 hours of continuous operation, including operation of FLARM and FANET, data transmission via BLE and recording of IGC and KML files. And since the battery is recharged by the solar cell during the flight, the autonomy is almost unlimited. If required, the battery can also be recharged using the USB - C cable supplied.

Safety first

The Mini 5 has a built-in FLARM and FANET to protect you from collisions. You can use your smartphone to receive the FANET position signals of your buddies and display them on your phone.

Bluetooth

The XC Tracer Mini 5 is equipped with a BLE 4.2 module (Bluetooth Low Energy). This means you can easily connect it to the Vario or smartphone via BLE.

Simply

One button and that's it. The button is used to switch the device on and off and to change the volume from 0 (no sound) to 4 (loud).
