With the Snaplock, Finsterwalder now also offers a paragliding carabiner with the popular twist lock, whose fatigue strength has been tested by a licensed testing institute. Carabiners with such certification are now mandatory for the re-approval of harnesses. Previously, carabiners with conventional closures could only be guaranteed for two years or for a limited number of flight hours.
The design of the Snaplock and the high strength of the drop-forged titanium material now allow a five-year warranty for single use and a two-year warranty for tandem use.
