The Hanwag SKY GTX boot impresses with its amazingly low weight and very good impact absorption.

The high shaft and the excellently cushioned Vibram® Mars sole guarantee a high level of safety and protection against twisting during take-offs and landings.

The grippy tread offers good grip on any surface. With turf lugs and the waterproof GORE-TEX lining, even damp or wet mountain meadows are no problem. So your toes won't get damp and clammy during the flight, even in cool mountain air.

My personal test verdict

I use these mountaineering boots for hiking, flying and light mountaineering. They are extremely comfortable, don't pinch at any point and are very easy to lace up. They are cut rather high and therefore provide optimum protection against twisting when walking on uneven terrain and when taking off and landing.

The sole is soft and has very good grip on any surface. They are lightweight and very well made. They also look really nice! I really like these shoes!

These Hanwag mountain boots get a very clear thumbs up from me! I think they are mega TOP!

Size:In my opinion, they are a little on the large side. I normally wear a size EU 44 2/3, but these mountain boots fit me perfectly in size EU 44.
