The Buteo XC is designed for all route flight pilots that attach great importance to active and passive safety. Performance -oriented flying on the limit is only possible if the pilot and aircraft form a unit. The Buteo XC enables the ambitious pilot to enter the world of extremely powerful umbrellas. In addition, the umbrella also enables the experienced EN-C pilot to expand its flying limit, since significantly more security reserves are available in quick flight than with any other EN-C umbrella.
The Buteo XC was developed as an ultimate route. This means that we have taken into account all aspects of lowland and high alpine flying. The umbrella has a moderate trim speed, which enables a flat rotation in light thermals. In addition, the BUTEO XC is agile enough to also turn strong, tight winds under difficult conditions. The 162 entrance edge ribs create an extremely homogeneous upper sail, the guarantee of good sliding properties in turbulent air. We have aligned the entire concept on the best gliding in the accelerated flight. Route flying is about the fastest way from A to B and the Buteo XC shows all of his potential here. By using the latest materials, we could reduce the umbrella weight to a minimum.
