Wireless

The BlueBip connects to your smartphone or tablet (Android and iOS) via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) as soon as you turn it on.
This allows you to use flight apps such as XCtrack, FlySkyHy, SeeYou Navigator, and many others by sending highly accurate flight information such as barometric altitude, air pressure, climb and sink rates, and more.

Thanks to its small size, it can be attached to your helmet, the shoulder strap of your harness, or the cockpit.

You can also add a screen to your BlueBip by using ActiveLook glasses.

Precise measurements

The BlueBip is a standalone solar instrument designed specifically for paragliding.

It combines the functions of a solar audio variometer and a "sensor box" that includes multiple sensors such as a pressure sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope (inertial sensor).

These sensors transmit the current and integrated Vz (over 15s), the exact glide ratio, and the exact barometric altitude to the flight app.
The sensors built into the BlueBip offer very high accuracy and are specifically designed for use in paragliding. They outperform the sensors found in smartphones.

The data measured by the BlueBip is transmitted to the flight app (Android and iPhone) via a Bluetooth connection, using various protocols and standards. Thanks to this flexibility, it is directly compatible with most flight apps available on the market.
