Brummel hooks are well known in sailing. Finsterwalder BRUMMEL HOOKS, which were developed specifically for the paragliding industry, are manufactured according to the same principle. The Finsterwalder BRUMMEL HOOK is used to connect the speed system (foot accelerator) attached to the harness to the paraglider and is therefore also called a speed system hook.
