Connect the InReach Messenger to the Garmin Messenger™ app on your smartphone and send SMS messages via satellite or cellular. With the user-friendly Garmin Messenger app on your smartphone, it's extremely easy to exchange SMS messages with your loved ones.

The device allows you to send messages via global two-way communication – without any mobile phone reception.

In an emergency, you can send an interactive SOS emergency call to the Garmin rescue center – the display will then show you a confirmation.

You can also use pre-written message templates for check-in messages to contacts while on the go.

Difference between Messenger vs Mini 2

The Garmin InReach Messenger is a better choice for longer adventure trips, while the InReach Mini 2 is a better choice for adventurers who prefer easier device operation and need GPS navigation.
